ASSEMBLY / DISASSEMBLY
Complete control of manufacturing costs

"ARMS Assembly/Disassembly module has been very helpful to us in tracking our mounted rings compared to our loose stones & mountings. Our diamond ring display looks much nicer now that we have more mounted rings on display.”
- Chris Scoville, Scoville Jewelers, NY, USA

The Assemly/Disassembly program is for jewelers who assemble components to produce finished goods.  This can be as simple as assembling a diamond and a semi mount to end up with a finished ring.  Or, it can be used for sophisticated assembling such as using grams of gold, different gemstones, adding minutes or labor (handling different labor rates for different parts of the manufacturing) adding worskshop overheads and a workshop mark-up to arrive at a costing for a manufactured item.

Component-by-component profit reporting
When looking at the finished item on stock and sales reports you can see the component breakdown, along with the profit on each component.  On Vendor reports, each vendor is credited with the sale and the profit for their components.  If you wish to reassemble another item the same, reports show the material list required, along with the vendors and their component design number.

You can disassemble an assembled item.  You just specify the finished item stock number and the quantity to be disassembled then all components will be returned to their original stock numbers with the quantities of components and assembled item adjusted automatically.

Better management of components and loose stones
Assembly/Disassembly allows for complete management of unassembled components and loose stones by treating them as part of your stock.  It also allows you to disassemble an item and re-use its components in a new item if you find it is not selling well. Complete management of loose stones allows easy changes in items for your customers’ satisfaction.

Fine-tune your assembly/disassembly work so that it maximises the return on your investment in staff, components and floor space.
